When I started this blog back in 2016, I had one simple goal: to share my healing journey and offer hope to anyone who believed healing wasn’t possible for them. I wanted people to know that even when life feels impossibly hard, there is always room for hope.
Looking back over the years, I can hardly believe everything that has happened.
I’ve remarried my ex-husband—a story that can only be described as a miracle and a beautiful reminder that God writes stories far better than we ever could.
During COVID, our home was filled with family, laughter, and togetherness. Now the house is quieter again as everyone has gone back out into the world to build lives of their own.
Life has also brought new health challenges, including a diagnosis that completely stopped me in my tracks. It reminded me in the most profound way that life is precious, fragile, and never something we should take for granted.
Through every season, this blog has grown right alongside me.
I’ve shared recipes because I believe nourishing our bodies should still bring joy. Healthy food doesn’t have to be boring, and taking care of ourselves shouldn’t mean giving up the simple pleasures around the table. I’ve tried to offer encouragement, hope, and practical ways to keep moving forward, no matter what life has looked like.
One unexpected gift has been discovering how much I enjoy writing.
I’m certainly not someone who would have called herself a writer. In fact, I still don’t know that I would. But writing has become a place where I process, heal, and connect. It has taught me so much—not only about putting words together, but about myself.
But then there was the “but.”
Lately, every time I sat down to write, it felt like I was pouring my heart into an empty room. The engagement was low. The silence felt loud. It takes a great deal of energy to create meaningful content, and honestly, I simply didn’t have much energy left to give.
Behind the scenes, I was carrying more than most people knew.
I kept my newest health struggles mostly to myself. Not because I was ashamed, but because I wasn’t ready to say, “Here’s another diagnosis.” I remember thinking, Really, Lord? Haven’t we done enough already?
Living with a neuromuscular autoimmune disorder has introduced me to a level of fatigue I never knew existed. It’s not simply feeling tired after a long day. It’s the kind of exhaustion that settles deep into your muscles and mind, making even simple tasks feel overwhelming. Some days my fingers feel too weak to type another sentence, and my body asks for more rest than I want to give it.
Yet through it all, God has faithfully carried me.
There have been moments when I wanted to stop writing altogether, but He gently reminded me that this blog was never really about numbers, likes, or comments. It has always been about obedience, encouragement, and sharing the hope He continues to give me.
His strength has carried me when mine has run out.
So instead of saying goodbye to this space, I’m choosing to let it evolve.
This blog is entering a new season.
You’ll still find the occasional recipe—especially if I discover something that has helped me too much to keep to myself. But you’ll also find more of my heart.
I’ll be sharing what life with a neuromuscular autoimmune disorder looks like through my eyes. The victories. The frustrations. The unexpected lessons. The days that feel heavy and the moments that remind me God is still working.
I’ll continue sharing yoga and gentle movement, healthy habits that help me feel my best, and practical tips for navigating this beautiful, messy season of midlife—or if we’re being honest, maybe we’re a little past midlife now!
This space will also become one where we can have honest conversations about faith, healing, resilience, grief, gratitude, aging, and finding joy in the middle of life’s unexpected detours.
You may notice a new look around here as I refresh the blog to better reflect this next chapter.
My hope is that when you visit, you’ll feel like you’ve sat down with a friend over a warm cup of tea. A place where there’s no pressure to have it all together. A place where we can laugh, cry, learn, and encourage one another.
Healing doesn’t always look the way we expect it to. Sometimes healing is physical. Sometimes it’s emotional. Sometimes it’s learning to live well in the middle of circumstances that don’t change.
No matter what season you’re walking through, I hope you’ll stay.
Thank you for being here—for reading, for encouraging me, and for allowing me to be a small part of your journey.
Here’s to this next chapter.
Let’s keep choosing hope, one day at a time.
